On October 5, 2022, the Eastern Europe Security Institute (Ukraine) in cooperation with the Foundation for Defence of Democracies (USA) co-organized a round table on “Risks and Opportunities for the United States in the Global Titanium Market Amid the Russia-Ukraine War”, which took place in offline format.
During the round table, experts from the Eastern Europe Security Institute and the Foundation for Defense of Democracies presented the new report on how U.S.-Ukrainian cooperation in the titanium industry can benefit both countries. The discussion examined the strategic threat posed by artificially priced Russian and Chinese supplies and how the Russia-Ukraine war has affected the global titanium market. It will then consider ways in which U.S.-Ukrainian cooperation can bolster America’s economic and national security by diversifying its supply of titanium, which Washington deems a “strategic vulnerability.”
